Good red-ruby color. Enticing aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, licorice, mint and earth. Juicy and tightly wound, with licorice and mineral flavors. Showed limited flesh at the outset but grew suppler and sweeter in the glass. Tight but aromatic on the finish, with a strong mineral quality. Still, this is a more feminine style of wine than the Morey Vieilles Vignes, which is more powerful. This really calls for three or four years of patience.

Good bright, deep red. Cherry, minerals and spices on the sappy nose. Spicy and fresh, with ripe acids and noteworthy purity of fruit. A very firm wine that's not yet showing its personality.
