The fully mature 1989 Romanee-St.-Vivant has an amber/ruby color and lovely caramelized spice aromas. Its medium-bodied, tangy strawberry-flavored character gives the impression that its best days are behind it. An excellent wine at present, it will not ameliorate with cellaring. Drink up.
