Bright, saturated ruby-red. Ineffable, perfumed aromas of black raspberry, violet, cocoa powder and iron. Large-scaled, round and lush; a wine of outstanding volume and sweetness. Wonderfully perfumed Burgundy Today the Suchots is more open and complex in the middle palate, while this demonstrates its complexity and precision more on the aftertaste.

Toasty black cherries and violets make up the beguiling aromas of the 2002 Romanee-St.-Vivant. This suave, feminine wine is reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn because of its hugely elegant, extraordinarily pretty, and graceful personality. Medium-bodied, it displays a concentrated core of fruit made up of mocha-tinged blackberries, dark cherries, and hints of tar. Its impressively prolonged finish exhibits loads of sweet, supple tannin. Projected maturity: 2007-2018. Bright ruby-red. Great nose melds raspberry, blackberry, violet, chocolate, minerals, tar and underbrush. An urgent, highly perfumed cocktail of berries and flowers in the mouth, with outstanding sweetness of fruit. Firm structure and fine tannins are thoroughly covered by fruit. Subtle, slow-building finish goes on and on. Should be sensational.
