A very good effort from Camensac, the 1997 reveals good cleanliness, elegance, and a spicy, berry, herb, and mineral-scented nose with mocha in the background. A stone’s throw from Saint-Julien, Ch. de Camensac was long underperforming, but – under the ownership of the Merlaut-Villars family – was totally restructured, and quality transformed.
