Score 90/100 · Drink 2014-2021, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

Another flamboyant, sexy, pleasure- bent beauty is the 2011 Crozes Hermitage Clos des Grives. Loaded with notions of ripe purple fruits, garrigue, violets and potpourri, this medium-bodied, rounded and textured 2011 is drinking at point today, yet should easily keep through 2021.

The most impressive of the lineup, the 2011 Crozes Hermitage Clos des Grives gives up more bacon fat, wood spice, pepper and layered blackberry fruit. Also medium-bodied and showing the vintage nicely, with solid freshness, plenty of fruit and excellent length, it is a bigger, richer version of the straight Crozes-Hermitage, yet should have a similar aging trajectory. Drink it over the coming 6-7 years. Wine Advocate.December, 2013
