A terrific example from this estate, Rouget’s 2001 is a sleeper of the vintage. Equal in quality to the much more expensive and renowned 2000, it possesses a deep ruby/purple color as well as a rich nose of black cherry liqueur, raspberries, wood smoke, balsam wood, and a hint of caramel. This medium to full-bodied, hedonistic, sexy, fleshy, pure Pomerol is impossible to resist. Enjoy it over the next 7-8 years. Wine Advocate.June, 2004

Rouget
Close to the Pomerol church, the Labruyère family purchased this property in 1994. They immediately set to work, restructuring the vineyard, renovating the winery and allowing the property to emerge from the shadows.
