Pale straw-yellow. Reticent nose dominated by oak notes of spices, nuts and vanilla. Broad and sweet, showing more hazelnut and honey flavors than youthful fruit. Less pristine than this producer's other premier crus from Puligny-Montrachet. Finishes a bit hard-edged. There was nothing apparently wrong with the cork but can this bottle be right?

A very ripe and distinguished nose of spiced yellow fruit compote introduces textured, pure and classy medium full flavors that coat the palate with extract that completely buffers the firm acid spine that does an impeccable job of retaining focus despite all the richness on the long, pure and refined finish.

Complex, rich nose offers hazelnut, smoke and truffle. Supple, smooth and sexy on the palate, with round lemon and hazelnut flavors nicely framed by ripe acidity. This was the first parcel harvested in 2006, notes Boudot, and these millerande grapes avoided rot. Firm supporting minerality contributes to the impression of balance. Very clean wine.
