Score 90-92/100 · Neal Martin

A blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot, the nose is perhaps a little more introverted and broody than other Saint Juliens tasted in the morning. Blackberry, white flowers moving towards wet limestone. The palate is very well balanced with fine back quite sturday tannins, lush plush than other wines, a little more rigid but with excellent focus and poise, with an almost chalk/mineral finish. Great clarity and precision here. Tasted March 2010

A little fusty on the nose but great balance and completeness on the palate. Very civil indeed.
