Straight, fresh cassis. Thick and sweet start and then lots of fresh fruit. Light tannins on the finish. Very refreshing. (JR)
This seems so heavy after the Ovilos! Competent and sweet and correct, but it really serves mainly to showcase the Greek Ovilos 2008 tasted alongside it. (JR)
An attractive, smoky, spicy, burning ember aroma is accompanied by scents of creamy black currants and underbrush in this earthy, medium-bodied, textbook Pessac-Leognan. Moderate concentration, an exceptional aromatic display, and light tannin in the finish suggest it should drink well for a decade.
