This deep ruby/purple-colored, round, luscious, medium-bodied 2002 offers up notes of mocha, chocolate, espresso, and ripe berry/cherry fruit. The wood is slightly elevated, but the wine reveals very good concentration, power, and overall harmony. It should drink well for 10-15 years.
Mid-purple. Ripe flavours with a hint of leafiness. Opulent, almost sweet at the start. Even a hint of strawberry – first time I've ever smelt this on a red bordeaux! Refreshingly light-bodied. Charming. Some light tannins. Very Graves. Rather an unfashionable style but good. (JR)
