Score 91/100 · David Schildknecht, Wine Advocate, Oct 2006

The 2005 Urziger Wurzgarten Riesling Auslese smells of fresh kiwi and sweet lime with just a hint of honey. In the mouth though, if offers an impression of honey-drenched kiwi and lightly-cooked strawberries wreathed with heady, sweet florality and vanilla and a distinct aura of ennobled fruit. It finishes persistently, drippingly rich and honeyed with hints of offsetting mineral pungency and faint vanilla, botrytis and fruit skin bitterness. Importer: Loosen Brothers, Portland, OR; tel.
