Good ruby-red. Roasted cherry, earth, sandalwood and a whiff of olive tapenade on the nose. Smooth and rich but vinous too, with nicely integrated acidity framing and lifting the black and blue fruit flavors. Finishes with firm tannins and noteworthy persistence. Vivid and rich.

Smudgier nose than most Derenoncourt 2010s. Sweet start and pretty tough, chewy finish. Very pronounced acidity. Very tough to taste! Hard finish. (JR)
