Score 90/100 · Drink 2003-2006, Robert Parker, Jan 2003
Fully mature, this gorgeous wine has consistently offered a saturated dark ruby/garnet color, a gorgeous nose of melted licorice, lilacs, ripe black currants and plums, and a hint of blackberry. Always generous and supple, with sweet tannin, low acidity, and loads of fruit, this is a beauty and one of the most successful Cantemerles of the last 30 years. Anticipated maturity: Now-2006. Last tasted, 9/02.
