Deep ruby-red. Vibrant, fruit-driven aromas of cassis and blood orange, plus a captivating floral aspect. Wonderful sappy fullness and density in the mouth; shows the quintessential spicy black and red fruit flavors of the Grand Maupertuis section of the cru, next to Grands-Echezeaux . Extremely suave and long, with the pungent dark berry and blood orange flavors repeating on the aftertaste. The firm but ripe tannins show no greenness or austerity. The fruit here was picked with 13.5% potential alcohol.
