Classy, complex nose melds pear, apple, wet stone, white flowers and a peppery nuance. Then juicy and perfumed in the mouth; comes off as drier and lighter on its feet than the Vigne Blanche, but this too will need at least three or four years of bottling aging. Finishes with an intriguing saline quality and a note of caramel.

Definitely expensive for the quality. Fine. Good texture, but not as exciting as the price. (JR)
