Produced from vines planted in 1946, the 1998 Gewurztraminer Wintzenheim exhibits delectable rose water aromas. Light-to-medium-bodied and expressive, this is an elegant yet flavorful wine. Red berries, lychee nuts, and powerful floral notes are found in its precise personality. Drink it over the next 4 years. Importer: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; tel (510) 524-1524.

Lichee and licorice aromas. Spicy and dry in the mouth; austere compared to the reular bottling, with stronger acidity. But boasts lovely juicy fruit. Spicy and long. A serious gewürztraminer that should have good aging potential.
