Crimson and a smudgy, indistinct nose. Floral start and then the tannins trump the fruit. Pretty good but a long-term wine. Some polish and attractive inkiness but needs time. (JR)

A stunning sleeper of the vintage, this wine smells of Asian soy, barbecue smoke, charcuterie, and blackberry and black currant fruit. A blend of 56% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest tiny quantities of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, the wine is nicely textured, medium to full-bodied and meant for drinking over the next 5-8 years. A member of the Alliance des Cru Bourgeois du Medoc.

56% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc. Racy and mineral and with lots of sinewy life. Rather sleek and with good energy. Solid and earnest. (JR)

Rather luscious for a Haut-Médoc – sweet and scented and with lots of fruit. Dry, correct finish. (JR)
