Tasting notes
This shows some potential. Medium in body, medium-silky tannins and a long cherry, chocolate and black olive aftertaste. Give it a year or two. Try in 1997. 11,917 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1996.

Haut-Bailly's dark ruby-colored 1993 offers a surprisingly intense, sexy, sweet, spicy, berry fruit-scented nose. The wine exhibits a lightly tannic edge, but this medium-bodied, ripe, excellent 1993 possesses charm, ripeness, richness, and a pure, well-balanced mouthfeel. Always a stylish wine, Haut-Bailly should improve for 1-3 years and last through the first decade of the next century. This wine can be purchased for a reasonable price.
