The 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet is another very pretty wine. Hints of peach, spices and slate add nuance in a village-level Burgundy full of character. The 2011 is understated, yet intriguing.

Lemon/lime cordial on the nose. Then creamy and struck match on the palate. Very embryonic. Intense and long and delicious. (JH)

Floral and then a bit dry and chewy. A tad tough. (JR)

Here the nose is a bit more complex and refined but otherwise compositionally similar. There is good verve and detail to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that also possess solid concentration before terminating in a saline-infused, clean, dry and inviting finish. A quality villages.
