Absolutely perfect, mature, white burgundy nose. Bone-dry finish and lovely fruit on the way there. Lovely wine from a very useful, approachable vintage. (JR)

Pale greenish straw. Vegy notes on the nose with very lively fruit. 13 years old and still so racy! Amazing life for a 13-year-old wine – t astes like a wine 10 years younger. Dry and fine. How has it survived so well? (JR)

Offering up aromas of drawn butter, confit lemon, oak vanillin and fino sherry, the 2007 Meursault Clos de la Barre is medium-bodied, tangy and compact, combining angular acids with over-evolved characteristics. This bottle, which had never left Burgundy, was a notable disappointment.
