Tasting notes
(gold capsule, Lot 08172) Bright ruby-red. Strikingly fresh, sexy bouquet of raspberry, dark cherry, incense and potpourri. Racy, finely etched red berry flavors pack a serious punch but are wonderfully lithe and precise. Silky tannins add back-end grip but don't distract from the sweet fruit. An impressively pure expression of syrah, with outstanding finishing lift and cut. This blend of 60% Bessards and 40% Meal fruit is destined for the U.S. market.

Ripe and juicy black fruit on the nose with violets, blossom and a touch of smoke. Very firm on the palate, with ample density to develop and flourish to give the rather tight structure a chance to relax and mature. (RH)
Bright ruby color. Intense, spicy red berry and cherry aromas, along with a subtle anise quality. Silky in texture, with elegant raspberry and candied cherry flavors and a very long finish featuring white pepper, clove and mace. Reminds me of a mincemeat pie. The tannins here are extremely sweet and suave.
