Tasting notes
Good deep, bright red. Sexy cherry, iron, rose petal, loam, Asian spices and nutty oak on the inviting nose, with a mineral component building with air. Sweet and plush but with harmonious ripe acidity giving definition and verve to the perfumed flavors of cherry, blood orange and spices. The very long whiplash of a finish features refined tannins and captivating minerality. A beauty, and vastly more impressive than it appeared to be from barrel a year ago.

Good full red. Maraschino cherry, mint and licorice on the nose, with complicating notes of pepper and leather. Dense and concentrated, with flavors similar to the aromas. Finishes with good sweetness but leaves a slightly rustic impression.
Fragrant and focused. Cherry compote! Lots of fun and race. Not a long-distance runner but good fun. (JR)
