Tasting notes
Bright, full red. Raspberry, wild strawberry, minerals and nutty oak on the nose. Fat, sweet and red fruit-driven; more open today than the Charmois. A ripe, full, well-stuffed village wine, finishing with a fine dusting of tannins.

The feminine 2002 Vosne-Romanee sports an aromatic as well as flavor profile of red cherries, juicy raspberries, and violets. Well-balanced, detailed, medium-bodied, and satin-textured, it is a candidate for drinking over the next 5 years. Importer: Diageo Chateau and Estate Wines Company, New York, NY; tel. (212) 419-1400
Cask sample . Very firm, delineated nose. Very pure and rapier-like. Lots of fruit and relatively gentle. Relatively charming for a Grivot wine. Great balance. (JR)
Abundantly spicy Vosne character is in full bloom on the expressive nose leading to velvety and sweet flavors that possess an austere finish. The Grivot Vosne villages is often quite closed when young but this is really rather accessible. Solid quality here. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jan01,2004.
