Medium red. Sappy, higher-pitched aromas of raspberry and flowers. Silky on entry, then sweeter and more aromatic in the middle palate. Offers surprising volume for this cuvee, especially for the 2001 vintage. Here the tannins are sweeter.

Scented. Workmanlike. Good extract. Tannins quite well covered. (cask sample) (JR)

Pretty, deep red. Aromas of red fruits, spices and flowers. Floral but lean in the mouth; comes across as drier than the Nuits villages but also more perfumed. Grivot says his village wines have gotten a bit more dense in the last few years, as the vines replanted after the big frost of 1985 are now beginning to mature.
