Score 85-88/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2010
Medium red. Aromas of black fruits, menthol and herbs. Offers a bit more flavor intensity than the Chambolle, with enticing cherry and raspberry fruit complicated by mint and herbs, but this too is a bit lean, with a bit of an acid streak today. Finishes with attractive floral lift. (I wasn't wild for the Nuits-Saint-Georges Bas de Combes, which showed more saline qualities than primary fruit-atypical for a young wine at this domain-and a slightly dry finish, and was slated for an early bottling.)
