Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Château de Vosne. The 2008 Vosne-Romanée Clos du Château has a light, leafy, slightly autumnal bouquet with noticeable sous-bois scents merging with the light rustic red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a piquant entry, crisp acidity with tangy marmalade and orange peel interlacing the red cherries on the linear finish. Tasted June 2015.

The 2008 Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanée Clos du Château was in fine form. Intensely perfumed and aromatic, the mid-weight, gracious Clos du Château was a perfect Burgundy to enjoy on a warm summer evening.
The 2008 Vosne-Romanee Clos du Chateau is somewhat fleeting and delicate in its rose petals, dried cherries and crushed raspberries. Palish red. Rather creamy aromas of redcurrant, mocha and sweet earth, with a savory saline quality that carries through onto the palate. For all its creaminess of texture, this wine's acidity and saline aspect, not to mention its chewy soil tones, give it a classically dry, tactile character.
