Score 90/100 · Drink 2015-2025, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jul 2015

Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Château de Vosne. The 2002 Vosne-Romanée Clos du Château has a light, fragrant dried rose petal, strawberry and tangerine-scented bouquet that gently opens in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with finer tannin than the first two vintages and a keener thread of acidity. This still has respectable tension and there is an attractive piquancy on the finish that lingers in the mouth. This has aged very well and is worth seeking out. Tasted June 2015.

Monopole. Pale ruby, smudgy nose. Very fresh and bright. Slightly callow fruit, but obviously with a lot of class. Real vibrancy. (JR)

Monopole. Pure, nervy, very transparent fruit. Very biodynamic sort of raw fruit and potential. But not crude. (JR)
