The youngest vintage Johnny Graham chooses to open currently. Very dark, deep, blackish garnet. Smells older and less fresh than the 1994. Pruney and rich. Hint of balsam. (JR)

Bright ruby-purple. Blackberry, blueberry and cranberry aromas complicated by notes of apple and fresh herbs. Juicy and fresh in the mouth, but could use a bit more fat and extract. The tart red berry flavors suggest moderate ripeness. But has style and should age well. Finishes with slightly drying tannins, good length and a smoky note.
