Medium red. Herbs and pepper on the nose; seems less ripe than the Morey premier cru. Supple in texture but a bit disjointed in the middle, conveying an overripe/underripe character. Sappy, minerally and fairly broad but with a peppery element. Finishes with good density and length. The Morey premier cru is rounder today but this may well have more aging potential.

(vinified entirely with whole clusters) Good bright, deep red. Red cherry on the nose. Rather silky in texture but a bit flat today, in a reduced state. Finishes peppery and a tad dry. This is hard to taste today.
