Score 88/100 · Drink 2003-2012, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
Fieuzal's dry white is one of the stronger efforts from the 1996 vintage. It exhibits a smoky, lavishly wooded nose with attractive sweet fruit. The wine possesses high acidity, but the requisite richness and creaminess in its texture to hold up to the wine's structure. It should close down and need 5-7 years of cellaring. Although leaner and less opulent than the top vintages of Fieuzal, it is one of the vintage's successes. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2012. Last tasted 3/97
