Tasting notes
Full red. Rather cool, laid-back aromas of medicinal cherry, cinnamon, menthol and underbrush. Brooding and tight, not currently showing much charm or sweetness. The dark cherry, menthol and fresh herb flavors are even a bit green for the year. With air, this showed a sweeter note of strawberry and building dusty tannins.

Bright red-ruby. Slightly medicinal aromas of black cherry and licorice. Juicy, spicy and tightly wound, with flavors of dark fruits, game, licorice and minerals. Finishes a bit riper and more flavorful than the nicely structured Vougeot Les Petits Vougeots that preceded it.
Rather heady and rich on the nose – very flattering. Great balance. Easy to like. From close to the Amoureuses vineyard, a good spine of structure but lovely soft flesh too. (JR)
