Score 92/100 · Drink 2007-2020, Robert Parker, Apr 2003

This wine is the product of a vinification supervised by St.-Emilion's Jean-Luc Thunevin. This dense, inky/purple-colored 2000 offers up aromas of chocolate, blackberry liqueur, licorice, and charcoal in its full-bodied, opulent personality. The acidity is low, and there is plenty of tannin (well-integrated) lurking beneath the sensational concentration and sweet, jammy black fruits. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2020.
