Very dark crimson. The nose is not 100% frank. Strangely tart on the palate with some green tannins in evidence. Very drying finish. But there is some savour here. (JR)
Deep blueish crimson. Muscular nose with marked acidity. Sweet dark chocolate on the front palate and quite a swathe of green all through the wine. Pretty tart finish with pretty drying tannins. (JR)
Deep dark cherry colour. Some sweetness of oak spice on the nose but not very expressive. More giving on the palate. Lively fruit, touch of mint. Moreish, mouthwatering finish. (JH)
About the producer

This Fourth Growth estate has been owned by the same family (the Sénéclauzes) since 1936. Over the last 25 years, later picking, a higher level of sorting and modern winemaking has fine-tuned the quality.
