Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2002-2017, Robert Parker, Feb 2002
Sadly, there are only limited quantities of this stunning 95% Merlot/5% Cabernet Franc blend that is bottled unfined and unfiltered. A dense purple color is accompanied by smoky, chocolatey, black cherry scents, medium to full body, and copious amounts of muscle, richness, and extract. Drink this layered, big Lalande de Pomerol over the next 10-15 years.

Medium ruby. Aromatic nose of black cherry, black raspberry, cola and smoky oak. Sweet, thick and creamy in the mouth. A real wave of red berry fruit but a rather unrefined style, with some heat showing and substantial but ripe tannins. Undeniably strong material here.
