Tasting notes
Proprietor Silvio Denz seems to have captured some serious magic in this blend of 85% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. A sleeper of the vintage, it offers a dark ruby/purple color, abundant black currant, black cherry, spice, and charcoal aromas, a big, dense, rich style, and 5-7 years of drinkability. Bravo!

Medium ruby. Perfumed aromas of black cherry, violet and bitter chocolate. Suave and juicy, with good cut to the flavors of blackberry, violet, bitter chocolate and mint. Offers a restrained sweetness and enough stuffing to support its fairly substantial tannins. Good mineral lift contributes perfume. On the finish this tastes like a bar of dark chocolate.
Concentrated black fruits on the nose. Very sweet and well handled. A hint of sandpaper but in general pretty well done – if you like punch! Pretty tough at this point.
