Tasting notes
Restrained opening, muscular, flashes of heat, plenty of dark fruits riven with fennel and star anise, a little foursquare in its tannic grip, an unusual 2009. This estate was in the hands of the Moueix family at the time - Nathalie Moueix with her daughter Marie-José.

Medium red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry liqueur and dark cherry are lifted by a sexy floral topnote and complicated by leather, mint and smoky oak. Supple, fine-grained and moderately sweet, with fine-grained flavors of dark fruits and licorice. Finishes with smooth, building tannins and very good length. Not quite the personality for outstanding, but this is very good.
Some freshness and suppleness. Rather glorious sweetness plus 2009 ripeness. Not quite fresh enough and lots of drying tannins on the end. (JR)
Medium-bodied wine with lively, attractive fruit. Fine tannic line. Good value. Drink 2014-2024
