Tasting notes
Deep garnet with a hint of purple, the 2006 Max’s Garden Shiraz has evolving scents of warm plums, blackberry compote and creme de cassis with hints of dried mulberries and spice cake. Full-bodied with a good amount of spicy, expressive black berry flavors, it has a good line of crisp acid and a medium level of velvety tannins, finishing long. Delicious now, it should cellar a further 4-6 years+. No known USA importer.

Inky ruby. Intensely perfumed nose displays spicy red berries, dark cherry and smoky minerals. Fresh and juicy, with vibrant raspberry and sweet cherry flavors, silky texture and fully absorbed tannins. A racy, sharply focused style that finishes with refreshing lift and cut.

More aromatic and with red fruits joining the blackberry; a fine, gently savoury palate, with little or no sweetness to contend with. Mar 2008, www.winecompanion.com.au, Drink: Now to 2020
