Firm, medium intensity ruby. Comfortably evolved nose – like an old pair of slippers. Sweet but a bit diffuse. Ripe grapes but without real definition. A hint of gaminess. Traces of tannin on the finish. (JR)

Very flattering now – drink soon. Very slightly jammy but with sufficient burgundy purity too. Very pretty and charming. (JR)

Medium red. Aromas of raspberry liqueur and chocolate. Sweet, lush and serious, with a layered texture to the redcurrant and leather flavors. Can't match the 2008 version for lift or acidity but this has the density and structure to require at least a couple years of cellaring. No shortage of tannins here, but the tannins are ripe and smooth.
