Deep red. Red fruits and minerals on the nose, along with a floral topnote. Juicy, fresh and nicely delineated, with subtle notes of red fruits, minerals and flowers. This shows the inner-palate energy of the vintage at its best. Finishes quite long, with suave tannins and lovely lift. Give this bottle at least four or five years in the cellar.

The 2002 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Boudots displays delightful aromatics of black cherries and violets. This liquid satin of a wine is lush, graceful, and nuanced. Red-ruby. High-pitched aromas of cassis, violet and licorice. Sweet and perfumed in the mouth but tightly wound today. Subtle, highly aromatic flavors of slightly wild berries and flowers. Finishes quite long and perfumed. Distinctly Vosne-like in character.
Cask sample. More interest than Les Beaux Monts. Lots of fruit and excitement. Positively crunchy – like biting into a great, crisp apple. (JR)
