The Nuits St.-Georges Les Boudots exhibits silky, strawberry, cherry fruitiness, a touch of toasty new oak, and plenty of depth underneath some good tannins. The young Etienne Grivot, who now runs this estate in addition to making the wines of the Domaine Jacqueline Jayer, is one of Burgundy's most promising talents. The emphasis here is on pure, elegant, finely etched Pinot Noir fruit. The wine is never too alcoholic or tannic, but rather a prototype for the delicate style of Pinot.
