Tasting notes
Moderately saturated medium red. Pure, lively aromas of red fruits, mocha and spices. Juicy, bright and perfumed in the mouth, with tangy, intense flavors of raspberry, strawberry, pomegranate and minerals, lifted by a strong floral element. Finishes juicy, long and minerally, with firm but fine tannins.

Cask sample. Not very deep crimson. A rather muted, though not unconvincing, nose. At this stage, still quite raw. Vibrant. Bumptious, but very, very youthful and undisciplined. (JR)
Gorgeously spicy and perfumed notes of smoke and game introduce savory, delicious, surprisingly forward flavors and an impressively complex finish. This is not particularly dense but it is suave and as much Vosne as Nuits in character. Allen Meadows, Burghound Apr01,2003
Moderately saturated medium red. Aromas of cherry, plum, licorice and smoke. Sweet, supple and expressive, with the fruit enlivened by mineral and floral notes. Nicely ripe back end features sweet, easy tannins and very good length.
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
