Good full red. Wild, musky, slightly reduced aromas of dark berries, leather and meat. Very round and seamless, with strong notes of oaky torrefaction. Shows less fruit vibrancy than the Beaux Monts and comes across as more aggressive--and decadent--on the back end. Plenty of power and palate-saturating tannins here.

(13.8% alcohol) Good medium red. Very expressive, very ripe aromas of maraschino cherry, mocha and chocolatey oak, plus a whiff of leather. Lush and chocolatey, with the nutty, smoky oak element carrying through in the mouth. A bit blurry with alcohol on the back half: I wanted a bit more primary fruit. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins. This will be for early drinking.
