Tasting notes
This blend of 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Franc reveals a lot of oak. Proprietor Jean-Philippe Janoueix, who does such a great job with all his estates, may have pushed extraction a touch too far in 2007. There is a slight astringency to the tannins, but the wine possesses impressive density and richness. If everything comes together, it should drink nicely for a decade.

Very dark crimson. Rich and very sweet and concentrated. Then rather exaggerated acidity. Not very comfortable. Tarry overall. (JR)
