Lively crimson. Low-key nose suggests there is more substance underneath than in many. Quite green notes on the palate. Sweet, polished little bon bon. Not desperately serious, so one hopes not a desperately serious price. (JR)

This underachieving estate has turned in a very competent effort in 2002. A deep plum ruby color is accompanied by a sweet, spicy, black cherry, and cola-scented bouquet, medium body, and excellent purity as well as texture. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2013
Blackish crimson. Strangely full, round and floral. Quite spicy. I sense that this is all winemaking tricks rather than natural phenomena but the result is quite appetising all the way until one gets to a markedly tannic finish. Full marks for effort. The score above is for result. (JR)
Tobacco and plum aromas with hints of earth. Medium-bodied, with good fruit and a light silky finish. Best after 2006. 6,665 cases made. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2005
