Tasting notes
La Pointe's 1994 exhibits a medium cranberry-like color, weedy, oaky, vaguely fruity notes, obvious dilution, and a light to medium-bodied, lightly tannic finish. It will have to be drunk during the first 5-7 years after bottling. All of the wines in this segment were tasted between March 19 and March 28 in Bordeaux. Most of the important wines from both the 1994 and 1995 vintages were tasted three separate times during my ten-day stay in Bordeaux.

Vibrant violet and berry aromas introduce this medium- to full-bodied offering, with it's wonderfully intergrated tannins and long, silky finish. Really a fine wine, one of the sleepers of Pomerol. Better in 1999. 10,000 cases made.James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1997
