A difficult year because it had a spring frost like 2001, even if not so extreme. But it’s a slimmer wine than the 1994 or 1996 and based on its nose and complexity on nose. Poor 1995 is between two great vintages. In its final stage and the wine need lots of air. Dark crimson with a pale rim. Quite dark with a brick rim. Gamey, a little old and leathery on the nose. Soft and gentle on the palate with pretty stringy astringent tannins on the finish. Chewy finish but very long and warm too. The oldest wine so far but an attractive drink with food, I could imagine. Just a little skinny. Interesting minty note on the finish. (JR)

It possesses excellent to outstanding concentration, top flight purity, and overall equilibrium. Drink this impressively-endowed Ribera del Duero over the next 10-12 years.
