Tasting notes
The 1985 displays more structure than usual (somewhat surprising in view of the loose-knit character of the vintage), but it has generous portions of ripe, plummy tobacco-scented and -flavored fruit in a medium-bodied format. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 3/89.

About the producer

Wine has been made at this estate since the 1300s, but its modern history begins when the Lurton family purchased it in 1965. The property was in disrepair, but the Lurtons have restored the château, winery and vineyards.
