Tasting notes
The 2001 Montevertine is all class and elegance. It offers beautiful delineation in its layers of black cherries, tar and minerals, with awesome purity and length of expression. It is clearly a more structured wine than the 2002 and will require a minimum of a few years of cellaring before offering its finest drinking.
