Tasting notes
Pale ruby. Really lifted and lively on the nose. The ethereal face of Barolo. A really rather beautiful ballerina of a wine, but not for those who seek mass. Lovely for now. (JR)

Transparent flame red. Complex, heady, well-married nose. Sweet start and then liquorice and layers. (JR)
Very appetising and actually quite delicate. Interesting nose. Very appetising and transparent. Clean and lively. Racy. I want to use the word 'mineral' for the first time in Barolo! Lightish in body with great balance. (JR)
The 2004 Barolo Cerequio shows superb clarity and definition, with lovely notes of dark raspberries, black cherries, earthiness, menthol, spices and toasted oak. This is a wine that is all about precision and granularity in its detail. The tannins build on the finish, so a degree of patience is warranted with this bottling, yet there is lovely richness underneath that will emerge gracefully over time.
