Very fresh and clean with chocolate, almond and walnut character. Medium-to full-bodied, firm and silky. Flavorful finish. A beauty. Underdog wine. Excellent.

Meaty and medicinal on the nose, with a leathery scent too – evocative and well-defined, with fruit that is still tightly packed and youthful. Finishes with a flavour like bitter herbal remedy – almost too sour, but feels like it's doing you good! Long and flavoursome and esoteric. (RH)

Very dark crimson. Gamey and alcoholic and almost Argentine it’s so thick. However did they manage this in 2002?! Just not refreshing enough for me. Drying finish. (JR)
